Mini Comic Con

Give your patrons a comic convention experience at your library.  Costumes are encouraged but not required.

  • Have a photobooth station for pictures with famous characters or just some fun props.

  • Invite local artists to give short drawing lessons, or writers to explain elements of plot and characters.

  • Have stations where kids and parents can write their own comic.

  • Offer face painting.

  • Host a Cosplay contest.

  • Do you have a local comicbook store or comicbook enthusiast? Have them display part of their collection.

The New "Incredible" Family

Test the speed and skill of family teams of at least one child and one adult as they compete in sixty second challenges.  This may be something you would want them to register for in advance so you know the number of teams competing or have a set limit and randomly draw the teams to compete in a Price Is Right, "Come On Down!" fassion.  If you want it to be a drop in event have a volunteer manage each station so they can explain the rules, keep track of time and record which families completed the task.
